Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation is a European initiative aimed at environmental protection, promoting innovative waste recycling strategies, and fostering a circular economy.
In order to comply with the EPR regulations in France, professional sellers who sell products to buyers located in France must register with a Consortium (PRO – Producer Responsibility Organization or “eco-organization”) responsible for managing the relevant product categories. Additionally, they must add unique identification numbers (UIN / UPIN) to their eBay listings by May 31, 2023.
Starting from May 31, 2023, listings that do not meet the 4 required criteria will be blocked on eBay.fr, or eBay will invoice the recycling costs again. To be law-compliant, it is essential to register with the relevant eco-organizations and add all the required information to eBay listings by May 31, 2023.

eBay is working on integrating the option to add these fields at the account level. In the meantime, sellers who need to include this data can do so via this link.
Starting from version 6.6.1 of Fastbay, it will also be possible to automatically send the Prestashop eco-tax as the “Extended Producer Responsibility” eco-contribution value to eBay during product synchronization.
