eBay displays this notice inside an auction when it detect it impossible to download product picture from the link to your website generated by the module.
During the synchronization phase, Fastbay only sends the image link generated on your website in the selected format to eBay, which typically proceeds to download it shortly after publication to then make it available on its internal “hosting” (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/……).
It is possible to verify the link sent by the module in the XML “request” generated by the moduleat any time using the debug mode, described in this guide.
Generally, if the picture is present and visible in the eBay item page gallery, it could be a temporary notice that you can ignore.
If the thumbnail or product photo does not appear in the eBay store within 24 hours, make sure that your site/server is reachable externally and that there are no network or blockage issues (firewall/ip ban) towards the ebay.com domain that could prevent eBay from retrieving images from Prestashop.
If you use a CDN or proxy for distributing images hosted on your site (such as Cloudflare), make sure that the images are served in JPG format and that there are no “rate limiting” rules set towards eBay’s IP addresses (recognizable by the ASN number 11643).
If this does not resolve the issue, it is to be attributed to eBay and not the module, due to a known issue during verification in the management of copying images from remote servers for which a definitive solution has not yet been found:
Below is an excerpt from the discussion with eBay’s technical support:
The absence of the photographic thumbnail in the eBay product list can also occur if, in the case of products with variants, eBay does not receive a “generic” gallery photo not associated with the variants. This case is solvable by activating the option “Send the cover photo even if used as a variant” among the general options of the module.
