The configuration of Fastbay in standard mode (with support for business policies disabled in the module) allows the payment, shipping, and return methods to be sent by the module for each product based on the configurations made.
In this configuration:
- The creation of a new policy is performed directly by eBay to align with the configuration provided by the module, where NO predefined policies are transmitted, but only direct information about shipping services and costs.
- eBay automatically assigns a name to the created policies, including the configured services and costs in the policy name.
- If a configuration of services and costs matches an already existing policy created by eBay, any new product sent should automatically link to the same policy.
- If this does not happen and eBay creates a new policy, there may be differences in the sent data. These differences can be checked by reviewing the product data in debug mode or by directly comparing the two policies on eBay.
It is important to emphasize that this policy management operation is always performed in the background by eBay and does not originate directly from the module, which only sends information about services and costs.
In this condition, eBay will automatically create as many new policies as needed to group the products. This is not an error; however, the created eBay policies will not be useful since the module sends data per product, bypassing eBay policies.
Additionally, if you already have products on eBay with previously created and associated policies, these will be overwritten by new policies unless you configure the product update type in “sync quantity or quantity/price” mode.
If you need to maintain the use of eBay business policies, the module provides the ability to link existing eBay policies by associating them with the eBay categories mapped in the module. See the dedicated section for more information.
