To ensure the module correctly and automatically sends the EAN / MPN / UPC data of your products to eBay:
Brand/MPN: Ensure that you have linked the default values for sending Brand and MPN to the correct Prestashop fields in the “General > Default Settings” section of the module. This is the simplest configuration, allowing you to send data to eBay for all site products equipped with a manufacturer and reference without further configurations.
EAN/UPC: Make sure you have correctly set these values in the Prestashop product sheets and that this data is formally correct barcodes (the module provides validation for incorrect barcodes and will discard them when sending to eBay). Also, remember that a product with variants must have an EAN/UPC per variant (settable in the “Combinations” tab of Prestashop).
IMPORTANT: In the case of a product with variants, the EAN/UPC will not be publicly displayed in the eBay template (due to eBay’s “static” description), but will still be sent by the module.
If you want to customize the sending of these values by eBay category (generally not recommended unless really necessary), you can always override the mapping to a field of your choice in the “Specifications/Conditions” tab (see this section of the documentation for more information). In this case, the values mapped in this tab will take precedence over the default ones. MPN is generally associated with the Product ID, Reference, or Prestashop Supplier Reference as “product code” (MPN actually means Manufacturer Part Number). Avoid linking the MPN field to the site’s EAN value as it is likely to be rejected by eBay because the field is subject to length validation by the marketplace.
For more details on these configurations, check the Specifications and Conditions section of the documentation.
You can check the correct data submission by accessing the listing edit from your eBay account. If, when entering the listing edit, the EAN/UPC field is not present/fillable, it means that eBay does not yet require this data.
**N.B.: To ensure the module sends the “Not Applicable” value for products without EAN/UPC or in case of incomplete or formally invalid EAN/UPC, **
remember to enable the appropriate option described in the first part of the guide (general module configuration).
