When synchronising a product I get the eBay error ‘The selected category is not a secondary category’.

This error occurs when, when synchronising a product, the eBay category currently mapped
in the module for that product is no longer ‘secondary’ to eBay.

A ‘secondary’ category is defined as one that no longer has any subcategories within it.

When configuring categories, Fastbay does NOT allow a category to be mapped to an eBay category
NOT secondary, however eBay may update its category tree
by adding or moving categories, thus requiring a ‘refresh’ of the eBay categories in the module and a new mapping of the impacted categories.

You can proceed as follows:

Go to the “CATEGORIES” tab of the module , download the eBay categories by “emptying” the old categories.

 

Go to the “CATEGORIES” tab of the module and re-map the categories that previously issued the error.
