When syncing an item, I’m getting ERROR 120 from eBay: Before you can list this item we need some additional information to create a seller’s account.

eBay may return errors to new accounts whose access to selling activities is blocked due to specific information required by the platform.

To start selling on eBay, it’s essential to select an automatic payment method for selling fees, for which eBay requires credit card details.

Furthermore, eBay might report an error if the credit card used is no longer valid (for example, if it has expired) or if the category of the items you wish to sell is not allowed for your account.

As a result, it is recommended to access your eBay account and check the settings related to the payment of fees. If these settings are correct, you are advised to try simulating the sale of the product you intend to publish through Fastbay on eBay. This step allows identifying any additional information requests by eBay.

If the account is enabled for selling and no problems arise at this stage, but difficulties with Fastbay persist, the issue could be related to the request for a “new API token” within the module.

If the browser used for this request is habitually used to access multiple eBay accounts, it is advisable to make the “new API token” request again after logging out from eBay and/or in an incognito browser session, making sure to log into the eBay account you intend to use in the module.
