This tab contains some functionalities studied to ease up the use of the module and the customer care work.
Pay the maximum attention to the Perform reset button: if you confirm that you want to proceed in the pop-up that will appear on screen, the module will delete ALL THE PRODUCTS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE IN PRESTASHOP, bringing the shop back to the same status you would have after a fresh installation (orders won’t be deleted nor modified in any way). By default the button doesn’t delete any category; if you wish to delete them, add the mark next to Delete categories -> Yes.
The Delete catalog backups button can be used one of the two following conditions is met.
- Update again all the products, typically after that something was changed in the fields mapping.
- The new catalog has a different number of columns compared to the previous one.
The Import Prestashop products will fill the module database with products currently available on the shop, as explained in the Import tab.
WARNING! The module will always import ALL the products available in the shop, as it’s not possible to know which one has a connection with the current catalog and which one doesn’t. Use this mode only if you plan to use a single catalog: in a different scenario, all the products will be imported, but those not found during the first import will be de deactivated, set to zero or deleted if one of these three options is turned on.
Following each import, the module will create two report files: one contains all the operations performed, the other only errors and skipped products. Should you need to free up space on your server or those logs are not needed anymore, it is possible to delete them with the Clean log button: the dropdown menu will let you choose to delete logs older than a certain period.
The SUPPORT area, in the end, contains useful links for the customer care service to check in case of needs: it is possible to download a copy of the current catalog and of the technical log without requiring FTP access, so to speed up the whole process.
