eBay recently introduced the ability to use customizable templates with payment / shipping / refund informations to apply to sale listings.
These templates, called “business policies”, can be used to quickly link listings groups to certain sales settings without having to do it manually for each product.
You can find out more about busines policies and how to opt-in with them in your eBay seller account at this link.
Starting with version 5.5.0, Fastbay module provides optional support to the business policies, allowing you to link existing rules already in your eBay account with one or more eBay categories configured in the module.
This allows you to not be bounded only to the module configuration (eg in shipping parameters) for certain categories and to easily apply any complex rule already on eBay to your Prestashop products.
In this way, the module will ignore configurations already made for payments, shipments, and returns , and will use the rules defined in the business rules tab during product synchronization.
Note: – Support for “business policies mode” can be switched on or off at any time. It is possible to activate / deactivate support through a button in “Business Policies tab”.
In order to enable business policies support you must first verify that your eBay account is properly opted-in by clicking the button “CHECK AND ENABLE“.
After a quick compatibility check, if the account is compliant with business policies a new table will appear on screen.
You can then proceed to linking one or more eBay categories to your payment / shipping / return rules.
To do this, you must select the business policy rules from the drop-down menus and one or more eBay categories in the “eBay Categories” box, then confirm twith the “SAVE” button. All configured rules will overwrite the configurations already made in the module, which means that the business policies rules configured for an eBay category will take precedence over all the other configurations made in the module during products synchronization.
If you decide not to map some categories, they will use the standard module configuration.
You can disable at all the support for “Business policies” mode by pressing the “DISABLE BUSINESS POLICIES SUPPORT ” located at the bottom of the page.
You can update the list of rules detected by the module (by fetching them from your eBay account) using the “UPDATE” button at the top of the page.
WARNING! This will delete all the rules that don’t exist anymore on eBay and remove any associations created with your categories.
